My Students

We are a school of more than six hundred-thirty students, ECE-fifth grade. Our school is committed to being a collaborative learning community where rigorous academics and character education ensure the development of the whole child. Character education, personalized learning, and a belief in a growth mindset is a big part of developing our learners into successful adults.

We design learning experiences to meet the unique learning needs of each student so that all of our children develop 21st-century skills, like critical thinking and reasoning, self-direction, collaboration, invention, and innovation.

We celebrate curiosity and creativity in the development of life-long learners.

My Project

How empowered do you think a classroom can be when there is a piece of technology accessible to them throughout the course of a school day? When students are looking for an immediate answer to a burning question, to challenge their skills through a reading quiz, to pass a few levels on math facts in a flash to build fluency, or to inquire about a topic on their own terms, how powerful could that be? Choice and creative problem solving are immediate benefits of such engaging tools, such as these Chromebooks with the use of the wireless mice.

My students need three more Chromebooks to maintain our one-to-one ratio and batteries for our wireless mice.

With guided inquiry, knowledge can be at the fingertips of their young minds and with the right focus and development of skills, students can become the creative problem solvers and hold the reigns of their paths.

With nurturing guidance, they will be at the helm of their own learning. Building up our capacity for how to use technology in our classroom is one of the best tools that I can give our students access to. By providing them with a 1:1 ratio to Chromebooks and mice , it will give them an opportunity to practice their skills at their individual pace, which is irreplaceable in a blended, innovative classroom. This is the last computer we will need to achieve our 1:1 ratio for this coming school year.
