As a teacher of both Mathematics and Art, I have the unique opportunity to teach students that range from 7th through 12th grade in a variety of courses- Pre-Algebra, Algebra 2, 8th-grade art cycle, year-round 9-12th grade art and a remediation/ enrichment period for Mathematics that changes from 7th-9th grade.
My students love to create and have a passion for learning.
Through math and art, my students are learning there are several paths to take when approaching problems and that all problems can have more than one solution.
My Project
The possibilities are endless for my Art classes on this Chromebook that transforms from laptop, to tablet, and even to tented version. Virtual Field Trips to Art Museums, a learning center set up for stop motion animation, learning how to make a digital portfolio are a few examples.
In my Mathematics classes, the ability to use dynamic interactive technology like DESMOS in Algebra 2 will allow my students to explore concepts to deepen their understanding.
It has a struggle when their phone is too small to really explore these concepts.
This start to a class set with a dedicated Chromebooks will enhance my students' learning of both my math and art classes on a daily basis.
