My students need 2 Chromebooks and a speaker system to apply what they learn in their technology-academy classes. They also need daily supplies such as pens,stamps and pencils!
Give Electronic Multimedia Production Academy students the technology they need! I'd love for students to apply the skills they learn in their video production and multimedia classes. Also, students often lack supplies such as pens and pencils & can be motivated by simple things such as stamps!
EMP Academy students are tech-savvy students who attend three courses per day as a cohort.
They produce our school's daily television broadcast. They are also the students who support other functions by running the soundboard and lights systems. Students work in a cohort beginning their junior year and continue their senior year.
My Project
Chromebooks will allow these students to continue their work on projects for their academy courses as well as other courses, too. Due to limited access, not all students can complete their assignments if they do not have the technology at home. Giving students this technology in my classroom (in addition to access in elective courses) during class and lunch will improve student projects. I'd love to say goodbye to paper and poster projects and give all students the chance to create visually impressive and tech-savvy projects using the Chromebooks and enhanced audio using the speaker system.
Students will have the resources they need to be for productive and on task.
Their frustration of learning new technology and yet not having sufficient time to apply it will be somewhat relieved, as well.
