"Everything I need to know...I learned in Kindergarten." ~Robert Fulghum
I teach a full day kindergarten class with 25 students.
My students each bring unique characteristics to the classroom creating one large family. My students need hands on learning manipulatives to enrich lessons for the gifted students and to help remediate for struggling learners. After teaching in a city school for 12 years, this is my first year to teach in the county. These students come from a variety of income levels and backgrounds.
Technology plays an important part in today's classroom by building excitement and creating an interactive learning experience. Students find it both exciting and motivating. I am requesting two Chromebooks to be used with various computer programs and daily during center and class activities. Some of the activities these computers will be used for are class research, STEM projects through our Project Lead the Way curriculum, Accelerated Reader, i-Ready, and online reading using Learning A-Z and Brainpop Jr.
With this added technology, my students will be able to take an active part in each lesson making learning more interesting and fun!
Students will be able to interact with flip charts, play online games educational games, and complete research for class projects.
