This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students come from all over Baltimore city with different backgrounds and experiences. Some students have traveled to different countries while others live in poverty. Many of the students have involved families that are willing to help however possible, and other students are acting as caretakers for their younger siblings. My students love to read and work hard to please. It is our job as educators to give them all the best educational experience possible and meet their individual needs.
My Project
My third grade students will be completing their first year of state standardized testing. As my students progress through the year, it is pivotal that they learn not online how to read, write, and do math, but also to be proficient with technology. To better prepare my students, they will be utilizing a website where I am able to send them assignments and they respond totally online. They are then able to compose their assignment, submit, and receive feedback.
Technology is all around us and preparing our students as early as possible is pivotal in their success!
By having easy access to computers, my students will be well rounded not only in their curriculum but also in typing and online tools.
