Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students live in a very diverse district that employs teachers who go above and beyond to meet the needs of each individual student. The students are motivated to learn and have a desire to be successful in their academics in order to attend college or enter the work force after high school. The teachers spend an untold number of hours during the nights and weekends designing lessons to help their students succeed. Unfortunately, we do not always have the needed resources to provide the most effective and beneficial instruction possible. We hope that DonorsChoose.org can help provide some of those much needed resources for the students.
My Project
Having these requested Chromebook laptop computers will allow students to access the online technological resources and programs which they may otherwise not have access to at home.
Chromebooks already in the school are very rarely available for use, which makes it difficult to provide the instruction and resources that can lead to greater student success.
Most classrooms have switched to using instructional software to provide the most effective and beneficial instruction possible, and having chromebooks readily available will provide more opportunities for students to access the programs necessary for learning and academic improvement. Being familiar with technology is essential for success in today's rapidly advancing world.
