This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The COVID-19 pandemic has stopped students from attending school physically and has caused them to break out of their daily routines. We will be doing full remote learning and passing out learning packets to families.
One hundred percent of students at our school receive free breakfast and lunch.
Our district has continued to feed students with the Stop, Grab, and Go program.
Since our school building will be physically closed to students, I'm trying to get my students the materials they need to help them learn.
My Project
My students have been learning virtually since the beginning of the year. Parents have been picking up Learning Kits at school so their child has the materials they need to learn during virtual learning. Since COVID-19 is on the rise, parents will not be able to go to school much longer. I am requesting USPS priority prepaid envelopes and boxes so I can mail supplies and incentives to students.
This will also alleviate the stress of both families and teachers to arrange for a pick-up time at a physical location while COVID-19 is a huge concern throughout our community.
The postcards and stamps will be use to send positive words of encouragement during this challenging time. I will use the envelopes, joke cards, hidden picture books, scratch art and stickers to keep in touch with my students and send them worksheets they need for virtual learning. Please help my young students as we continue to learn virtually.
