This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are funny and love life. They enjoy working together and sharing ideas. We are a close-knit community. I teach physical education and math for four classes and the state-mandated Respond to Intervention and Instruction class. At times, they need to be motivated and experience opportunities for success. I have one class that is an inclusion class. As a dance team coach and health instructor, I need equipment that will allow them to remain hydrated and organized.
My Project
These materials will make huge difference with my dance team/ Fitness club. We are the Eaglets. The backpacks, water bottles , will be used daily as I will model the importance of hydration and cleaning of hands. Our school is very competitive and we love to play basketball. We have inter-mural games which are enjoyed my the whole community. I want all of the players to have something that is useful to them. We have teams that are created by homeroom and grade level. The winners receive a travel trophy and bragging rights.
