My Students

Our students are ages 3-6 and come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Some are typically developing while others receive special education services. Despite challenges, each child is encouraged to work hard and try new things each day. They know our classroom is a safe place to make mistakes.

All of our preschool students believe they will learn and grow.

Our goal is to provide them with loving, positive and engaging environment. We play, sing, read, get messy and laugh together on a daily basis.

My Project

These materials will allow our young learners many different opportunities to practice problem solving and persistence which are essential to developing creative and innovative thinking. The Ultimate Fort Builder rods and connectors, magnet tiles and gears will all allow students to design, then develop and follow a plan to engineer buildings, cars or whatever they imagine!

All of these items are selected to support the principles of STEAM and a growth mindset.

Students will use the materials to take on new challenges by experimenting, making mistakes, problem solving and learning from the process.

Games like Suspend and Spot It promote essential social skills and interactions while students think strategically and learn resilient behavior. We want our students to have the chance every day to choose materials that will grow their brains!
