Ms. Everett from Racine WI is requesting supplies through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need a fun, safe, inviting learning environment (cubbie tables, alternative seating, dry erase pouches). My kindergarten classroom will be used to teach 60 kindergarten students reading while also integrating science and social studies. Reading is the building blocks of all learning.

I have 60 awesome, active, wonderful, energized, creative kindergarten students in a non profit charter school in Racine, Wisconsin. My students come from diverse backgrounds and we celebrate our differences in the classroom.
My students work hard on a daily basis and have a passion for learning.
I love seeing them learn new things, and apply what they have learned every day. I love watching them get excited about reading, projects, experiments, and showing each other what they know.
For some of my students, school is the only place they feel safe, my students deserve the best, comforting, inspiring learning environment possible for them. It will help them grow, learn, and succeed.
My kindergarten classroom is going to be very comforting, inviting, and a relaxing place. I want my students to be able to choose a spot in the room where they can learn easily, and do their best work. Every student does not learn the same way. They should not all be sitting, working, doing the same thing, in the same way, all at the same time. Some students need more movement, some students need different types of chairs. My students should have choices, and I would love to give them choices and some independence.
I would love to create a flexible seating arrangement in my classroom where students can be engaged and learn to read and move on to reading to learn.
By donating to my classroom, you are donating to my students, helping them succeed, and giving them the opportunity to make choices that benefit themselves on a daily basis.
