My Students

My fifth-grade students love reading! They love learning new things and especially push themselves to learn more through their love of reading.

My students love being challenged to read books that inspire them to deepen their love of learning.

I encourage students to read books that have realistic characters that they can relate to.

Students set new goals every nine weeks to read more advanced books. They are rewarded for meeting their goals and love challenging themselves to reach higher goals. New books for the classroom will help provide students with this opportunity.

My Project

My students love to read! My goal is to provide each student with their own copy of the novel Wonder. This book is a prime literature example of how students should treat others. It demonstrates how their actions can impact others. I would like to use this novel to reinforce social-emotional skills.

Donations to this project will fulfill the hearts of my students.

The social skills associated with the novel are skills students need to socially survive. They will learn lifelong lessons.

This novel will also help build stronger readers. By giving students a book they can relate to, students will start to read with their hearts. They will connect with the characters and relate to the ups and downs of life and school.
