My Students

I teach kindergarten in a large, multicultural PreK-6 school, in Texas. Students in our school speak 13 different languages at home. The loving families of my students are struggling in these hard economic times. Many of my students receive free lunch, and all students in the school can receive free breakfast in the cafeteria in the morning.

This year is off to a great start, but some new items can make it even better!

I love to provide innovative opportunities for my students. DonorsChoose.org is a blessing that keeps making my classroom a better place for students to learn and grow!

My Project

My students have loved having the opportunity to sit in a laundry basket 'boat' during independent reading time during ELA centers. I would like to provide them more options and choices for seating.

Not all students enjoy the same seating experience.

With comfy floor seats that have an adjustable back, wobble cushions with 2-sided choice, and soft seats (that look like a turtle shell), my students will have many options to choose from.

I look forward to seeing my students' excited faces when they see these new seating options. It's good to be comfortable when diving into a great book.
