Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have been teaching for 6 years and had you asked me 1 year ago if I would teach 6th grade, I would give you a hard and fast NO! I never dreamed I could love teaching as much as I do. I wouldn't trade my job for any other job on this planet!
Every year your students steal your hearts but this year, this group, these kids, they have pulled on my heartstrings and the love I have for them surpasses any type of love I thought I could have for a group of kids.
That doesn't mean they aren't a hard group of kids. Because they are but if I could adopt them all I would. I have 50 students between 2 classes and they both have a unique group of kids, with a special story for each student.
My Project
Flexible seating in classrooms has been found to not only help foster students learning but also help students who need to move or engage their brain in different ways to stay focused.
By donating to this project, you will not only help to improve and increase my student attention and focus, but you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement by helping create a classroom that is encouraging and also accommodating each of their unique needs.
I have made minor changes to my room towards having a flexible seating classroom and I have seen a huge difference in my students and their learning. Help me finish my classroom and give my students the very best advantage of learning and being able to focus.
