My Students
My students represent over 6 different countries; however, they all share the same desire of wanting to learn about money and how it works, which in turns gives me the desire to want to educate them.
Their energy of wanting to learn how to count money and earn it, is seen daily, as they rush to the math money stations.
I feel the more the students engage in learning the value of money and the different aspects of why it is so important in our society they will ultimately become a generation of wealthy citizens.
My Project
The abilities to navigate through life is dependent upon many things, and one of them, being money. It is imperative that students know how to count, spend, and save money. The coins, flashcards and all of the various games inspired by Dave Ramsey will expose as well as prepare them for some of the things they will encounter as they get older when it comes to making purchases. The Eggspert will be used to help generate excitement as the students compete to show their knowledge to each other.
Being financially literate is one of the keys to success.
The donations will help the students receive the interactive materials they need to learn about money and its many uses.
I am adamant about students knowing the value of money and how it works. I feel that a strong foundation of money sense will help create strong communities.
