Children With Special Needs Want to Learn Too!

My students need learning materials they can manipulate. Students with special needs learn differently. With the multi-sensory approach to learning, my students will have a better opportunity to understand the lesson being taught while having fun.

My Students

Students with special needs require more resources than are provided. As a teacher, my salary can only do so much. I want to be able to give all of my students the opportunity to learn and grow by providing them the extra tools they need to be successful. My students are capable of anything, but it becomes difficult getting them to their full potential when funds or resources are not available. Help me help them grow and succeed. Thank you for your help.

My Project

Please take a moment to read, donate, and pass on for others to see.

Many students of special needs do not have the resources or tools needed to ensure learning growth.

Unfortunately, in the school system, money and resources are scarce. It is up to the teachers to find a way to help bridge the learning gap with limited resources.

Children with special educational needs have learning difficulties that make it harder for them to learn compared to the "average" student. These students need different and extra help that others may not require in order to learn basic skills and concepts.

Multi-sensory instruction is an effective teaching method in the inclusive classroom. General education and special education students can all benefit from multi-sensory learning. General education and special education students can all benefit from multi-sensory learning.

Individual students process information differently. Utilizing various senses in the instructional setting helps enable optimal learning for every student in the classroom. Incorporating visual, auditory, tactile, kinesthetic, taste and smell in the instructional setting assist students in learning and retaining classroom material.

Students learn by doing. Multi-sensory learning allows the students to actively participate in the learning process. The Anatomy Models Set, The Hots Talking Pen, the Original Judy Clock Class Pack, Dr. Seuss Book and CD Set, and Butterfly Life Cycle Specimen Set are just a few of the tools I am requesting to supplement lessons with. These materials will assist and help maximize student learning. The materials will emerge the student with the lesson using a fun and creative hands-on/multi-sensory approach. They will be able to create, construct, move, and more with the models and educational games I am requesting.

Please help in any way that you can. Every little bit helps. Students with special needs deserve the right to an education, too. Thank you
