My students are an eager bunch ready to learn. I have all levels of learners with many different ways of learning.
Many of my students learn well in small groups with teacher conferring and support.
My students are a joy to work with and each one brings strengths to the classroom. They work hard and have made goals for themselves. I am here to support all of my students in achieving their goals and helping them be successful, inside and outside of the classroom.
My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in Social Studies, Research and Writing.
In my classroom, students will use the Chromebooks to learn and create class projects, such as newspapers and presentations.
They will be able to use Google docs to work in Hyperdocs to research and find important information and put it all together towards a larger project to share. One example will be to research historical people from our region, with a group of peers, use their reading and writing skills to organize the information and create a newspaper with the information they learned for a final project.
In this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology! It will also give them a safe environment to learn how to be responsible digital citizens.
As teachers, we have to meet the students at their level, and these Chromebooks will fill an important niche in my program.
The supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly how the students will use these Chromebooks. We just need your help in getting them home!
