My students need hardware for the upcoming season. We are looking forward to a great season. 1/4-20 and 10-32 are the size of hardware we use the most of, and it is very easy to use.
NWR High School in NJ consists of grades 7 through 12. NWR is starting a FIRST Robotics Competition team this school year, 2017-2018. This is part of a school wide initiative to have a strong focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), which will better prepare our students for future careers. The robotics team will provide a challenging format for the students. This in addition to an extensive program of STEM courses starting in 7th grade and extending through 12th grade.
Team Summary:
The North Warren FIRST Robotics Competition team is newly founded in 2017. There are 40 Students involved in this amazing program. It is comprised of students from all walks of life. We have both boys and girls involved in our program and we really look to further their future and education especially in the areas of science technology and engineering. We are a small rural school but we are still dedicated to ensuring that our students get the same opportunities that are offered to any other students.
My Project
As we move forward in our new season, and in this case it's going to be our second season, we are really looking forward to having a great and wonderful team. The North Warren robotics program although only 1 year old has really come to create an environment that is conducive for children to learn not just the skills that are necessary to build a robot, but more importantly the skills to be a team, to work together, and to collaborate and understand that each person can contribute in their own way.
Some of our needs this year will include Hardware that is fundamental for the construction of our robot.
It is very important for us to be able to use only two sizes of Hardware because this makes it much simpler when it comes to the construction of our robot.
The North Warren robotics team has brought new life into our school, and into our stem programs that is allowing students to experience ideas, Concepts and new innovations that they would have never been able to experience before. These materials especially when it comes to the hardware ultimately allow us to achieve our goals which is to build a supportive and nurturing environment for students to express themselves.
