My Project

I work with 6th grade students (11 years old) from all over the world who have come to America with their families. Many have come to escape horrible conditions and treatment in their native countries and are so eager and excited to be here. Their smiles light up my day as they begin to learn the English language!

These kiddos need to learn how to read and that begins with learning phonics and having the resources to do this.

One of the best ways to do this is by learning how to build words and use them in sentences. The phonics worksheet bundle from TPT will give them a strong start. Headphones will allow them to listen to instructions independently and orally practice new skills.

Please help my students learn to read. Once they learn to read, the sky is the limit to what they may accomplish!
