My students need Speakaboos interactive book subscriptions to help them learn to read.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
How would you like to listen to your friend read and know you can't read? How would you feel at five years old?
My students are five and six year old children attending kindergarten in central Florida.
Our school is a Title 1 school which means that we have a high population of families that qualify for free and reduced lunches. 86% of our children get free or reduced lunch. The entire school population gets free breakfast.
The children love to learn. Many of my students are reading on their own. They love reading and singing. Anything that is a new experience is exciting to them. This is their first school experience and they are really enjoying coming to school every day.
Some of my students are reading above grade level, some on grade level, and about a quarter below grade level. We have large population of families that are transient that these students have difficulty maintaining their skill levels.
Speakaboos online picture book subscriptions will allow my students to use them at school or at home. They can read in center time on the computers and iPads. If they have all their work done, they will be able to read a Speakaboo story.
Using the Speakaboo stories, my students will be building their vocabulary, using their sight words, and learn new words. They can be challenged listening to stories that are above their reading level.
I would like my students to love reading and choose books that interest them.
Speakaboos will allow them to choose subjects that interest them and their favorites. This project will help my students be better readers.
