This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our students are predominately from low-income homes, but here at our school, they have the opportunity to learn coding during their computer science component of their day and even have the opportunity to work in a makerspace each week. Students work on coding everyday, build robots, and work with legos on a regular basis. They are truly getting prepared to 21st century jobs.
Our students have the opportunity to take assessments online, complete assignments on Chromebooks, and work to code games.
The makerspace provides our students with experience with other coding devices, puzzles, and the opportunity to create and be innovative.
My Project
Our students at our school are excited about hands-on learning! Our teachers are constantly finding ways to expose our students to all types of different things to maximize learning. Kindergarten students are learning about life cycles.
Students will have the opportunity to learn about chicken eggs, incubate them, and observe them as they hatch.
We are super excited to learn about cycles and how animals learn and grow. Our students will be observing changes over time. This is a one and a life time opportunity! The teachers are even excited because many of them have never experience this miracle of life also.
