My Pre-K students are four and five year of age, who are excited to have their first school experience. They are part of a Title I, inner-city school located within a community with an economically disadvantaged population. Every child in our school receives free or reduced price lunch, and a large percentage of our students are considered homeless.
Most of the families have a first language other than English, and our program is designed to immerse the students in English and prepare them for kindergarten.
The desire for the students to do well academically is a goal that is shared through our school community. The parents, students, and staff all work together to build a true sense that education is important.
I have been incubating chicks for the past 10 years. My students have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to see chicks hatch out of the eggs. Thanks to some amazing donors like yourself, we were fortunate enough to get the incubators funded. However, I did not realize that they did not come with automatic egg turners. It makes it so much easier to have them. It can get a little complicated when you have 24 little ones who want to turn them.
For the above amazing reasons, I am requesting 3 automatic egg turners.
I want all my students to continue having a great experience without breaking or damaging the eggs.
