I teach third grade in Chicago. Our Social Studies focus this year is an in-depth study of Chicago, both past and present. While the students diligently research Chicago's history, we will be taking field trips to study some of the important aspects of the city. We have planned field trips to the Chicago Botanic Gardens, the Sears Tower Sky deck, a Wendella Boat Tour of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan, and a trolley trip around the downtown area to name just a few. I would love to have my students capture the memories of these trips by taking pictures. I would like to provide my students with disposable cameras. Many of my students may never have the opportunity to see these sights again, and I want them each to make a scrapbook of these events. I truly thank you for checking out this proposal and caring about our leaders of tomorrow!
