This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A chess table in our library will provide the students with the ability to play chess with their friends during lunch and before school. The students will use the chess book as a resource and it will be available in the library for checkout. The students will have access to the chess clock and practice on how to use it. This will provide them with become familiar with chess if they ever want to join a chess league.

Additionally, I want to make this available to our middle school students and provide them the opportunity to learn and continue to develop their skills throughout high school.
