My students need binders and dividers to learn how to organize their grades by subject. They also need colored paper, for visual organization, and page protectors in order to keep their pages neat.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 20 diverse learners in a cross categorical classroom in a low income school. My students have different and distinct abilities. As my students become older, they need to be able to self-monitor their school work and grades.
I want to teach my students to monitor their own progress in reading, math and spelling, therefore increasing their responsibility in their role in their learning.
These skills will help them understand how to make goals for themselves and seeing the outcomes of their efforts.
My Project
I would like my 7th and 8th grade diverse learners to become more responsible and aware of their grades. I would like them to self-monitor their work and to graph their grades, looking for trends in their work.
As they get older, students will need to learn how to manage their learning.
Using a data binder will help them apply organizational skills to benefit them far beyond our classroom and throughout their academic careers. In addition, I would like them to see their strengths and learn how working on their weaknesses (bringing up those low grades by studying, asking for extra help, etc.) will benefit them in the long run.
