Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a great group of kids. They are a diverse group of students. Some of them are English Language Learners and some are trying to learn Spanish as their second language. A few of them are bilingual, they can speak, read and write in both languages. My students are very kind. They help each other as much as they can.
Most of my students come from a low income family.
They do not have the economic resources to have their own books at home. Although they get to check books out from our school library, they can only do that about every two weeks. These amazing books would be in our classroom library. They would be able to check them out and take them home to read then return it and check out another one that same day without having to go to the school library.
