This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This chart stand will continue to support students learning in our classroom. The classroom is currently print-rich and my first graders need lots of guidance. Every student will benefit from anchor charts and modeling tasks during instruction.

Students will be able to use the charts as a resource which will help them become independent during writing and reading time.

With this chart stand and laminating pouches, my students will be able to choose from a variety of words, sentences, and strategies that will allow them to work independently at their own grade level. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent work, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed text. We will build upon our classroom resources and community.
