My students need a set of chapter books for us to read together. I am also requesting card stock paper and more crayons to help my kids complete projects, games, and other assignments.
My students are a unique group of children. All of them have their strengths and their challenges, but I can see where we have come leaps and bounds from where we started the year.
My children are some of the most exuberant and athletic children I have had the privilege of teaching.
They are caring, compassionate, enthusiastic, and the reasons I enjoy being a teacher. My hope is to provide them with more resources to better their learning and meet more of their individual needs.
My Project
In second grade, my students are getting interested in chapter books, but I still have some children that are not quite ready to read them on their own. By having a set of Charlotte's Web, the story we usually read together for reading month, students will be able to read on their own, with a partner, or at the very least, follow along with me as I read aloud.
These supplies will be used for a project related to Charlotte's Web as well as other activities within the classroom.
My class has fallen in love with reading, but due to small budgets and a rural community, obtaining resources can be difficult.
