My Students

My students come from a wide variety of socio-economic backgrounds. I teach at a Title I school, where a large portion of my students struggle with living in poverty. They find school as a safe, inviting place, where all of their needs including physical, emotional, social, and academic needs can be met.

My students are very enthusiastic, eager, and active learners.

They all have a wide range of learning styles and need teaching methods that are adjusted to their personal needs. I find that my students function the best in a learning environment that is highly engaging, and where active learning is taking place.

My Project

This project would establish iPad charging stations in my classroom. Our classroom is extremely lucky to be provided with one to one devices; however, we have cords everywhere. My students love using technology to learn but there is nothing more frustrating to them than their devices being dead.

The iPad charging stations would ensure my students always have a device charged and ready to go when they are completing projects.

The charging stations will also ensure my students are safe from wires. The students use the ipads during reading and math centers daily so ensuring they are charged is of the utmost importance.
