This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, but come to school every day ready to grow. At my school, children learn through hands-on exploration and cross-curricular instruction, supported by a STEAM focused curriculum.
“What,” “why,” "when," and “how” are words that are embraced and encouraged in my classroom.
Students are agents of their own learning and given the space to investigate their interests. My classroom is a place for students to grow, imagine, build, and thrive, all through learning.
My Project
Our school provides each student an iPad to use as their own throughout the school year. If you walk into a classroom at our school, you often see students using their iPads to code, digitally animate stories, and learn using various apps.
We need charging stations to encourage student learning and prepare students for the digital age.
iPads are used daily in our classroom for various assignments. They are an important part of our curriculum from intervention assignments and supplemental activities, to actual classroom assignments. It is important for students to have the opportunity to use technology when possible and your donation will facilitate that goal.
