Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are the most amazing group of second graders you could imagine. I teach 17 students in my homeroom class, daily. I also teach 32 students science each day. I engage my students in learning by promoting a hands-on environment. That being said, we are in need of resources to help us get our wiggles out each day!

I treat each day as a gift.

My students could one day become the next President of the United States, my doctor when I am older, writers of the next best-selling literary work, and so much more. Who am I to prevent them from learning and growing each day? After all, I have 180 days to prepare them for their future endeavors. Please help my sweet second graders sail into learning!

My Project

My students need an organized station to charge their technology devices. My students have 9 Chromebooks that need to charge daily. Our current charging shelf fell apart in February, and I have been researching ways to organize their devices.

The students in my class use these technology devices for all subject areas.

This charging station will help ensure that the devices are fully charged and ready to go for the day-to-day lessons. On any given day, my students are taking tests, practicing math skills, researching, and using technology for STEM research. I hope to provide them with a new charging station to start the new school year off on the right foot.
