My Students
Our students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything. Our school serves students in grades pre K-5 and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers, and a safe learning environment.
I am a teacher in a low-income school district where my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
Despite these many challenges, I am looking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
My students are now in a 1:1 classroom for technology, meaning each student has their own Chromebook for daily use. In Second grade, the computers stay at school and need to be charged each night for daily use. Right now we have our Chromebooks charging on flimsy dishpans with wires tangled and confused.
We need two charging stations for an easy, effective way to charge these each night so they are ready for students the next day.
Two of these stations would greatly increase the time it takes to charge and use these machines to most effectively engage students in the classroom. We are ready to charge our Chromebooks to learn as much as we can in todays changing world!
