Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We have a group of 75 amazing third graders. They are curious learners, they love learning and they are fully bilingual.
Our students have been at this school since the beginning of their educational career, receiving quality instruction in both English and Spanish.
We are also working under the guidelines of Conscious Discipline, therefore, they are kind citizens and love to belong to their school family. They are respectful to each other and they come to school ready to learn every day.
We are a Title I School with limited resources; yet, our students strive to be the absolute best.
My Project
Last year, we were able to fund two projects to get every one of our students a Chromebook. We are grateful for the tools our classroom has for learning, and we are looking forward to giving our students the last piece to this puzzle.
These two charging station carts will allow the Chromebooks to be charged completely each day.
Most of our students' learning happens on the computer, so when it's not charged they are setting themselves up for failure.
Typically carts cost over $1,000, but we found these ones for a fraction of the cost.
They will serve our needs nicely. Best of all, there's plenty of extra spaces to fill next year with more Chromebooks!
A cart for the Chromebooks will streamline learning, and ensure our third graders are working at their highest level each day.
