This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a kindergarten teacher in an urban, K-5 public school that has the majority of its students coming from low-income families. Most of the students also speak English as their Second Language.

My students face many difficult challenges inside and outside of the classroom.

Despite the challenges they face, my students are always eager to get to school everyday and learn something new! Our classroom is a warm and nurturing learning environment for the exploration of knowledge and self!

My Project

Having a charging station for the Chromebooks in the classroom will allow for a more effective way to charge them when they are not in use. The current process of charging as needed often leads to Chromebooks not being charged when they are needed because I have have a few outlets. In the change of times, my students will be taking part in more online learning opportunities so having an effective charging schedule using the charging station will help to deliver effective online learning to the students in the classroom.
