Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My class is composed of 55 fifth graders in a general education class, with students with IEP and ELL learners and special education students such as those with autism.
The students in my classroom are motivated, loving, and hardworking!
They are imaginative and creative! Most of my students however, come from low income families. The opportunity and achievement gaps are apparent among our student population.
Our school has successfully launched for the second year a coding club. With your help my students will be able to create projects hard to integrate STEM into as much learning as we can for our students.
We know that STEM careers are in demand and provide limitless pathways to success for students.
Each of my students in elementary STEM class enjoy the interactions and activities that STEM gives them. My students have so much energy and excitement when they get to STEM.
Help these students experience the great wonders of modern technology today while becoming the designers and engineers of tomorrow.
My Project
My students are in need of 9 battery packs and rechargeable batteries, for us to use for our robots and construction sets. My 4th and 5th grade Robotics Club students are in need of batteries. Each robotics kit uses six double AA batteries per kit, which costs about $5-$6. However, the batteries do not last very long and need to be changed frequently. The rechargeable batteries and chargers are beneficial because it teaches students the responsibility of making sure they charge the batteries on the days our Robotics Club meets. This year our 5th graders will compete, therefore these materials will allow students to practice competing without having to worry about the double AA batteries dying.
Your kind donation will provide the class with the batteries and the that we urgently need.
Students will definitely be thankful to you as they'll be able to continue their work! We'll be able to take pictures during our STEM fair and STEM night. We'll be able to continue constructing shapes and improve our visualization of three-dimensional structures!
Your generosity will ensure that my students will be able to study as usual and feel confident that they'll pass their end-of-the-year exam with flying colors.
