Mrs. Stewart from Demopolis AL is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need two charging stations to charge their iPads in our classroom.

Have you ever wanted or needed your iPad and the charge was on 0%? It is frustrating to say the least. Our classroom needs a way to charge our iPads. We would love to have two charging stations located on our back counter. These stations would be accessible to the children as they need them.
We are a Pre K-2 Title 1 school with the over half of our students eating free or reduced breakfast and lunch.
We are located in a rural part of West Alabama. My classroom has 17 precious children. They are energetic, curious, love to read, take Accelerated Reader tests and love math! These children are on varying academic levels. They range from a fifth grade to Pre primer reading level. I love my class! I want to do my absolute best and provide the tools they need in order to be successful in the second grade....and beyond!
Technology is invading our schools. The students are coming to school more tech-savvy than ever...sometimes more savvy than me! It is my responsibility to ensure that the technology that I have been blessed with is used and maintained from year to year. My students love using iPads. We have been blessed to have several in our class. However, charging these iPads has become an issue. We have surge protectors all around the room AFTER school to charge them. I would love for the children to be able to charge their iPad during school or when it is necessary. This grant would make that challenge a reality.
We live in a technological world.
My students are just entering the first phases of technology usage. This grant will help to encourage the use of iPads for communication, research or just having fun. However, for any of these tasks to take place, the iPad has to be charged! Would you consider helping me to enable my students to learn and play everyday on their iPads?
