Charge - Ink For Learning!
My students need 6 packs of HP ink and 4 packs of AAA rechargeable batteries to create and listen to engaging lessons in all core subjects.
What a disappointment when students say to me "My cd player doesn't work" or "Can you print me this book to take home and read to my parents?". I want my students to be engaged in their learning using technology. This includes wanting to take learning home.
I teach 22 outstanding Kindergarten students who come to me with different learning abilities in North Carolina.
We are a Title One school which 93% of our students receive free/reduced breakfast and lunches daily. Also 49% of our students are ESL and just learning to speak English.
I would like to add 6 packs of HP black and colored ink in order to provide students with take home books and print rigorous activities for each core subject. Reading and project based activities are important skills and students should have access to these tools at home. The 4 packs of AAA batteries will be used in students portable cd players and wireless headphones during literacy and math. As students are listening to stories and using the smartboard, this will give me an opportunity to work with other students who may need additional help or I can provide challenging activities for all learners in my classroom.
Creating an engaging environment at school and to include continued learning at home will help increase students' learning.
Please help me provide the necessary tools for my students. Thanking you in advance for your help.
