My Students
I will be starting a new resource class for our school that all the students Pre K-6th will be able to take part in. We have a wide range of abilities and personalities at our school.
Our students are very excited, energetic students that love expressing themselves in many different ways.
Allowing our students to express themselves in new and exciting ways will allow them to open up and be more creative well-rounded students. My hope is to make a fun and enjoyable group of kids at our school
My Project
In my new resource class I’m going to be using many different strategies to help my students with their reading and language skills. One of those strategies is to help my students feel comfortable not just with each other but with themselves.
Using different charade games allows my students to learn vocabulary but also be silly and fun in a safe way.
Increasing a students vocabulary increases their reading ability. Allowing them to understand words individually will then carry over into their reading time, giving them the ability to understand their reading much easier. This also gives them a different way to express themselves.
