My Students
My students are a lively, creative bunch. They are part of the gifted program and benefit from project-based learning and higher order thinking activities. They love hands-on projects and challenges that keep them engaged and allow them the platform to think outside the box. They are motivated by "the challenge" and being able to express themselves in various modes.
My students come from various economic backgrounds and cultures, but they mesh well and always put forth maximum effort to complete activities.
I incorporate a variety of learning strategies and group work to keep them engaged. They are eager learners and each day they come ready to expand their academic horizons.
My Project
My students are creative at the core! We have been studying character traits in various pieces of writing. As we culminate this area of study, as well as other units of study, we always end with a project of some type. This time we are creating a character wheel.
My students will be able to create great projects if we had the Cricut Explore, as it would afford them the opportunity to better display their understanding of character traits creatively.
They would be able to cut letters, backgrounds, and shapes from a variety of mediums which would improve their final products.
