I have an amazing group of 25 caring, inquisitive and very energetic first graders. Throughout our day we can be mathematicians, engineers, writers, readers, and scientists! I try and support the unique learning style of each student and believe that if they feel comfortable in our classroom they will be able to grow and learn in amazing ways.
Creating a welcoming and supportive learning environment for all of my students will allow them to work to their full potential.
Students relish the opportunity to choose their own learning space. By allowing students to make choices in how they approach different activities at school they learn to self-regulate, take responsibility for their learning and becoming more confident learners.

My Project
This purposefully crafted and beautifully illustrated compilation of read alouds are needed to grow our character and community building lessons. My students will continue to benefit from explicit lessons supported by stories that demonstrate and nurture character development. These books will assist with classroom community building throughout the year.
First graders enjoy listening to stories, making personal connections and identifying and solving character problems.
This collection will allow students to further explore, embrace, celebrate and learn more about one another. A curriculum that strengthen students' character is a curriculum crafted for a bright future for all. Let's make our positive imprint!
