Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school strives to find the best in all students. Every child has capabilities, talents, and strengths. Most of the time, all students need is some kind of exposure or motivation to be successful. The students in my class reach for excellence. They all naturally care about one another and continually make an effort to improve in all areas.
Although most of my students struggle, they all have a Can-Do Attitude.
Of my 26 students, two are English language learners, one receives resource services, one receives inclusion, while another is inclusion from a behavior unit. More than half of my class reads below a kindergarten level; however, they all have a Can-Do attitude. They strive to do their personal best to contribute to our classroom community as they prepare for their future.
My Project
Can you remember when you were in school? Remember those days of trying to make friends, fit in and make the right choices? Did you ever put off an assignment because you were afraid you couldn't do it just right? Were you a worrier? Many of today's students come to school unprepared for the pressures of an academic setting.
Children will laugh at stories filled with characters who struggle and overcome life’s early challenges.
These books will help children learn to navigate their way through bullies, criticism, and procrastination on their way to becoming kinder, gentler, and more accepting leaders.
