The students in my school are students who want and need to be loved. They are students with difficult situations and need help in organizing and showing their frustrations and feelings through techniques that are typically shown to them from their teachers and the staff members of their school.
This is a Title I school who felt the need to have a certified teacher to come in and focus on teaching and mentoring traits.
I am to help guide them in becoming functional in the school setting, but also as functional and good citizens within our society.
My Project
The resources that have been specially picked out within the project were designed to give a broad, yet specific dynamic to help students learn how to face everyday challenges and make the best decisions, even when an adult is not around.
These items, such as the timers, books and resource books were chosen to not only help the children guide themselves, but also help the teachers in choosing opportunities to teach and guide proper reactions.
The students will have a school mentor, myself, in guiding them and giving them weekly to monhtly lessons on great character techniques and tools to use.
