My students are full of life and I cannot wait to greet them into an exciting new happy school year. Each year I get new students that are filled with energy and have so much potential to learn. I want to be the teacher that gives them the chance to grow their love for learning and create a life long learning habit. Seeing their smiling faces when they learn something new is a feeling that every teacher loves. I am lucky enough to have a massive class full of those students every year.
Unfortunately, more than half of my students come from low income households.
These students deserve just as great of a learning experience as any other student. That is why I have made it my mission to give these student every opportunity in the world to succeed starting with a fun and exciting education!
My Project
I love instilling a love of reading with my students. Finding a book, and better yet, a series that promotes reading is key. I took a survey from my students that I see throughout the day and asked them to name their favorite books or series.
The books in this project were voted their most wanted choices for the classroom!
I would love to fill my classroom with their favorite book series since I have many kids go through my classroom throughout the day. Unfortunately students only have Library once a week. Although it is a great time for them in the library I would like to give them the opportunity to check out books more often and keep their love for reading alive!
