My 9th grade students are awesome. They are great kids who recognize the need and importance of social emotional learning in their lives, relationships, education and future work endeavors. My students are brave kids who courageously learn through sharing stories, speaking to experiences they have had whether good or bad. My students have built and are continuing to build positive relationships with their peers, teachers, coaches, and other staff at school, as well as in their home life. I call them my group of culture builders and world changers!
My Project
The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them options to make more effective learning choices. Students will be able to take learning to a whole new level. We will use the basketball goal for our snowball activities, when we need to share information with the class but want to keep it confidential. We will use the markers, post-it notes, paper to enhance our collaborative learning environment and our design thinking. The Social Emotional Learning games will help students develop a deeper understanding while learning and having fun. Students will continue to have fun while learning.
