My Kindergarteners love taking on the role of the "teacher". What if they had the opportunity to teach others and themselves while utilizing technology and having fun? An interactive whiteboard would make all of this possible.
My students are Kindergarteners, full of energy, and ready to engage in interactive fun learning.
The students attend a public K-5 school in CA, where learning resources are hard to come by. Coming from all walks of life, my students are all different and unique in their own awesome ways.
My Project
We need the last pieces to turn our regular whiteboard into an interactive one. We have a computer and projector already, but with the whiteboard sensor accessory we will be able to use our whiteboard in a way that is similar to a touchscreen. The software will support math and science, where there is an increased need for visuals and kinesthetic learning.
This "interactive" board will allow the students to interact with the materials instead of just being fed information.
This technology will allow students to get up and interact with the images or documents shown on the whiteboard. This will also help my students become more collaborative with one another.
