Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our Girls Soccer team is a group of resilient young people! They are leaders of the school that perform well in the classroom as well as on the field! They come to practice ready to learn, play hard, and have fun.
Our school is Title I with a population of predominantly Latino/a students.
In recent years, our soccer team has done well compared to neighboring middle school teams.
Our team serves grades 6th-8th and we aim to have all of our student athletes conditioned with optimal sportsmanship. Our students athletes are not future leaders but present leaders at our school. We are preparing our athletes to compete with tenacity and humility.
My Project
My student athletes can benefit from small soccer goals to run mini games during practice. Appropriately pumped soccer balls are critical to having a good practice. Goalies need gloves to practice catching and throwing.
Our girls soccer players are true champions!
Receiving materials like balls, pinnies, and goals will help our girls in gaining the necessary skills to be competitive soccer players.
Gifting our girls with items will make practice easier and ensure that all of our students have a fair chance at being exceptional. Please help me prepare my student athletes for their games by contributing to the necessary practice equipment.
