My Students

First Grade is a magical year. The children are full of wonder and excitement. Their curiosity needs to be fueled. The sparkle in my students' eyes will never go out when presented with the love of learning. That's my goal!

I have a loving group of children who are excited about learning to read, working with big numbers, and exploring science.

They are curious about the world around them. Their diverse backgrounds bring so much to our everyday learning opportunities.

My Project

Advanced students deserved to be challenged! The leveled books I am requesting are for students reading at a second grade level even though they are only first graders. While in Distance Learning I meet with each student one on one during the week. I use a document camera to project the books onto each students computer screen to read to me. Even though they can't hold the book in their hands, they still need exciting, engaging books that challenge their curiosity and ever growing desire to learn. These leveled books provide all of that and more!
