Chalk, Magnet & Block-Oh My!-Hands-on Activities Rock!

Help me give my students tiles, blocks, chalk and magnets for hands-on work to bring concepts and activities to life!

My Project

While learning in chemistry and anatomy, many of the concepts are difficult to visualize because we cannot hold organs, atoms or many other items in our hands. Making paper models or utilizing other hands-on tools enables students to gain a better understanding of STEM concepts so their knowledge becomes deeper and more meaningful.

With blocks, tiles and magnets, students can model chemical reactions, activity at synapses and neuromuscular junctions, atomic theories and so much more.

Students already have magnetic white boards at their tables so, with the included containers, the magnets can be easily added for regular student use. With chalk, students can write on our slate desks for quick understanding checks as well as for solving problems.

It is so important for students to model and visualize concepts. With these tools, I am excited to see learning come more alive!
