I am the proud teacher of 28 school-loving kindergarten students. Each morning they arrive eager to start their day and are abuzz with the new things that we are going to learn. There is a love of learning from the moment they arrive!
My school is located in a multicultural area of Philadelphia.
A large percentage of students are learning to speak English for the first time. It is a low-income area of the city and students often come to school with little to no resources provided by the school district. However, my students never see that as a barrier to their learning and are always motivated to do their best.
My classroom is in need of chairs that are in good condition, the right size, and are comfortable for my kindergarten students.
Currently, many of the chairs in my classroom have broken seats and legs.
These chairs will remedy that problem and give my students seating that is much more functional. It will also make it so my students can focus on learning and not on whether or not their chair is wobbling from a broken leg, or pinching them because the seat of the chair is broken.
These chairs will provide my students with much sturdier chairs that don't flip over easily and are much more comfortable for the size of a kindergarten student.
