Help me give my students safe, stable, and sturdy chairs to sit in.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My students are full time Pre-K scholars who attend school daily. The chairs that we now have in our room are not appropriate for them to sit in, due to damage legs of the chairs. The chairs are uneven and rock excessive. In turn, this causes interruptions and disruptions during instruction time. It also causes the students to have uneven or stable sitting for writing, coloring and completing school tasks.
My Pre-K scholars are in need of new chairs.
Presently, the students' chairs in my classroom are not balanced due to the chair legs being broken off. When my students are sitting in their chairs, they are constantly rocking the chairs back and forth because the chair legs are not balanced. This, in turn, causes constant disruptions and other students become off task due to the constant interruption and noise which the chairs make.
I would like for all of my scholars to concentrate and not be subject to disruptions due to uneven and unbalanced chair legs.
Thank you in advance for your support!
Having safe and stable chairs for students to sit in is very helpful and conducive for on-task learning and writing. It is very important for scholars to maintain correct posture when sitting in chairs.
Currently, my student's chairs are missing the bottom piece of the chair legs, which causes excessive rocking, wobbling which is very unsafe to sit in.
In turn, the students get off task and it disturbs others from staying focused throughout the day due to the excessive rocking and noise which the off-balanced chairs make.
The current chairs have been used for at least 10 years or more.
