My Students

I have taught for 29 years. Every student that comes into my life become my children. I become their mother, so I want what is best for them. I teach because I have such a desirable need to be surrounded by children. I love to hear their stories they want to share. But I especially LOVE to see their eyes light up when they finally understand what is being taught. I want my children to leave my classroom well prepared for the next grade. That is my job!

My Project

My students deserve to sit in chairs comfortably without parts of it catching their clothes or scraping the back of their leg. Unfortunately, purchasing new chairs isn't in the school's budget. I am seeking assistance to help make my students' and future students' learning environment a safe one, with the new chairs.

The chairs I currently have been around the block many times.

Because of this, the plastic seat has torn away from the metal backing that supports the leg. Some of the seats are cracked while the others have cracked and the plastic is raised causing the children to either get their clothes stuck or their leg scratched.
